Classes
How many students are in a class?
The pre-ballet and children’s lessons are limited to 8 children per class. There may be more students in the intermediate and advanced courses. In the adult lessons there are usually 6-8 students per class.
Can my child start at any time during the year?
If a student has previous ballet training and wishes to join a class after the semester has begun, we do our best to place them in a class that is a good fit for the individual. This decision is at the discretion of the instructor. The pre-ballet classes, however, can be joined at almost anytime.
Dance apparel and dress code
What is the dress code for ballet classes?
Girls are asked to wear pink tights, pink ballet slippers (canvas or leather), and a leotard in any color. Please choose leotards with simple silhouettes and no attached skirts. For pointe class, girls must wear pink pointe shoes. Long hair should be pulled into a ponytail or bun.
Boys may wear a plain T-shirt, black tights or gym shorts., and black ballet shoes (canvas or leather).
Where can I purchase ballet clothing?

Performance opportunities
Is there a recital or concert?
There is a spring concert every year. To participate, students must currently be taking two lessons a week and have reached a performing level. They must also commit to additional rehearsal time outside of the regular class schedule.
